Cement Industry
Pakistan is recognized as a prominent cement manufacturer, boasting a production capacity of 70 million tonnes, with plans for further expansion. Compressed air is an essential yet expensive utility in cement plants, frequently overlooked, resulting in unnecessary operating and capital expenses.
Compressed Air Applications in Cement Industry
Power Source
Compressed air is harnessed to operate tools and actuation cylinders, while also serving purposes such as filtration, cleaning, and cooling.
Flowing of Material
Fine cement powder has a tendency to form clumps, which poses challenges in its transportation and dispensing. To address this issue, pneumatic conveyors are widely employed to transfer cement powder from storage to the production area, while pneumatically powered aeration systems are utilized to maintain its flowability.
Actuation of Levers & Probes
Compressed air finds application in the actuation of valves, as well as in the manipulation of levers and probes. In these cases, compressed air serves the purpose of powering equipment or its components, as opposed to transporting materials.
